2. Data collected and purposes

Owners (registration form)

  • Data: name, WhatsApp number, email, neighbourhood.
  • Purpose: verifying and publishing the listing. The WhatsApp number is shared with interested travellers as part of the introduction service, with the owner’s explicit consent at registration.
  • Retention: the listing’s lifetime + 12 months after it is withdrawn.

Technical cookies (necessary)

  • Data: user session, language preference.
  • Purpose: site operation and security.
  • Retention: for the duration of the session.

Audience measurement (with consent)

  • Tools: Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity. Clarity may record pseudonymised browsing sessions (text masked by default).
  • Purpose: understanding how the site is used and measuring campaign effectiveness.
  • Activation: only after you accept via the consent banner.

First-party conversion log (with consent)

  • Data: WhatsApp click events — date and time, traffic source, button location, listing concerned. Non-identifying: no name, no IP address, no identifier.

  • Retention: rolling, approximately the 5,000 most recent events.

Source indicator (session storage)

  • Data: a non-identifying indicator of where your visit came from (URL parameter or referring site), stored temporarily in your browser (sessionStorage).
  • Purpose: adding a reference to your WhatsApp message so the owner understands the context of your enquiry.
  • Retention: cleared when you close the tab.

3. Data sharing and sub-processors

  • Vercel Inc. — site hosting (United States). Data may be processed on servers located outside Morocco.
  • Upstash Inc. — database hosting (listings and the conversion log).
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. — Meta Pixel, only with your consent.
  • Microsoft Corporation — Microsoft Clarity, only with your consent.
  • The owner’s WhatsApp number is shared with interested travellers as part of the introduction service, with the owner’s explicit consent.
  • No personal data is sold to third parties.

4. Consent (cookies and measurement)

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline the measurement tools and the conversion log. Technical cookies, necessary for the site to function, remain active.

Until you accept, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity and the conversion log are not activated. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the site’s data in your browser.
